The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the rooms although small are very modern, clean and well designed. The hotel staff were very pleasent and helpful. There was a varity offered for breakfast, the full english was very nice.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel as it was very expensive. There is a pub near the end of the drive called The Harrow where we ate. The food came in very large portions and was resonable in price. The pub staff were very friendly.

Location was important to us on this trip and the Parkland setting was wonderful.
The location of the Spa...a short walk was not a problem but having to leave the building to walk but a short distant in bad weather would be a great disappointment.

My wife and I stayed in older main building, loved the quiet relaxed atmosphere. Stayed as wedding guests but will happily return again for a short break. Considering the facilities available we also thought it was good value.
There was nothing we disliked but be warned; the maze of corridors and stairs in the old house could be a bit of a challenge for the less able. We would recommend staying in the new extension if you have difficulty getting about. One other thing, this did not bother us, but as you would expect in a beautiful old house like this the windows rattle in high winds, if you’re a nit picking light sleeper you may not like this, again just stay in the new section.

I liked the room, which was clean and comfortable and had all the requirements needed. Still and sparkling water was a nice touch.Toiletries were replenished and bed was lovely.
The colour of the carpets was hideous. restaurant could have been better designed.
